A table worth finding: Casa Piedra

A garden patio above Cala Llonga, sushi that’s hard to share and Nando’s unmistakably generous welcome make dinner feel like one of Ibiza’s best discoveries.

Take the turn toward Cala Llonga and Casa Piedra appears in a pocket of greenery, a country house set between coast and hills. Its restaurant patio opens onto the surrounding landscape; as the day cools, the table becomes its own little world—quiet enough for conversation, beautiful enough to make you order another glass. It feels special without losing the island’s easy pace.

Come hungry, and start with the sushi. It is delicious—especially the Casa Piedra Uramaki, a playful roll built around crispy squid and ebi panko, with Korean mojo, acevichada and chalaquita bringing richness, heat and brightness into balance. The menu moves between Japanese and Nikkei notes, Mediterranean ingredients and the smoke of the Josper grill. There is no single direction to the meal, which is part of the fun.

Then let Nando lead. Warm, welcoming and generous, he has the knack of making a new place feel personal without ceremony or fuss. Ask what he loves on the menu, order for the middle of the table and settle in. The welcome is not a prelude to the evening; it is part of what makes it memorable.

Casa Piedra is our kind of Ibiza discovery: rooted in its setting, confident at the table and better shared. It is a lovely choice for the night you want to leave the villa, while keeping the island’s unhurried feeling close.

Mark your calendars: Casa Piedra closes for the season on November 8, 2026, and reopens for Easter 2027.
